Post Ashtami Wrap Up

Radhe Radhe Jai GuruNath
Apologies...Have been very slack myself. Have not updated Blog for a long long time. Lots to report though
Since the Last 8 day ashtami Bhagwat session at Yennora got cancelled, had the opportunity to going to various places/houses to speak on Bhagwatam. In a way it was ideal, as it was a chance to speak to a different crowd everyday, hence speaking to various audience on Bhagwat Katha and Nama Sankirtanam.
Distributed G's CD's and stickers every day. The highlight for me however was attending the sessions at Navin bhai's place in Earlwood. A very nice group of devotees and very inquisitive as well. Everyone from young to old took part in singing MahaMantra. A special focus was given to chanting Mahamantra. Had some spare Chanting Malas - 40 to 50 of them..,.so took them around to NAvin's place. It was all gone. Basically everyone that came took the Malas and actually it ran out ....so had to take some more on the following days...At the end of 2 sessions of Katha, the whole crows actually participated in chanting Mahamantra on beads 108 times. And people who took the Mala also promised to chant eevryday. It was simply MAGIC to see G's grace in Action. The 50-60 lips and tongues everyday...being busy in the actual and the main business of life. Is there anything more satisfying then chanting and watching others chant. Felt the presence of G every moment.
Took a break from the Katha one day to go to Adelaide (part of South Australia) . There, Dylan and Myself and Kajal led the singing of Sunderkand. (photo) . It was an amazing experience. There were reports from the crowd that while the Sunderkand was happening, some decorative kalashas -pots which were part of the temple decoration, actually "lifted up" and fell. Shri Anjaneya makes in presence known in various ways i guess. The whole session was beautiful. Especially Dylan as the little master displayed his artistry on the Dholak and really lifted the vibe of the place. Uncle Mudliar actually was so happy that at the end of the sesssion, he picked Dylan up and kissed him and blessed him....
Next day after a Yagya at the same temple in Adelaide, we returned back to Sydney and continued with the Krishna Ashtami celebrations on Saturday and Sunday.
ON the last day I had a call from Brother Aniruddha that the folks at Earlwoord wanted more Malas as there were new people attending and they desired to chant Maha Mantra with the mala as well. So we decided to go there again. All the time, I was sort of being a miser that i did not want to finish all the Malas. Somehow decided to take all of them on the last day. It was al gone as well that night. So i had no Malas with me. Not even one for future distributions. The very next day I had a call at work from my good wife that a box of Malas had just arrived from Brindaban. I was totally surprised. Nothing but G's Grace. Came home that evening to see more than 150 Malas and Bead bags and Mala Counters.

Started preparing for the 3 day Bhagwat Katha at Dylan's House. Another opportunity presented by G and Krishna to spread the glories of the LORD via this totally totally unworthy and insignificant kali-grasta jiva. I wish one day I can actually understand the subject matter of Srimad Bhagvatam...Actually claiming that I am speaking on Bhagvatam is nothing but humourous and pityful.

It was a great weekend again.

Radhe Radhe

Had a Gita Recital and discourse yesterday at the post funeral rites of SMT KUNTI DEVI. Recited Chapter 6 of BG. And spoke on some shlokas. With Hari Naam Ofcourse. Jayanthi Mataji and Ramanan uncle came from far away and graced us on this occasion.

We distributed CD's and Stickers...

The KIDS gave some positive feedback ...saying they did understand the topic well...It was nice to touch the youngsters.... I find that nowadays the youngsters are very positive and coming-forward and very receptive to the messages of Bhagvat Dharma.

Have a workmate whos brother recently won the one and only most sought-after, prestigious ARTS scholarship. Out of many thousands of people he won the one and only scholarship.
And his background was, he was 6months away from finishing his double degree and had this burning desire to chase his dream in arts..and he left everything, dished his studies, and worked hard day and night...accepting the fact that he will not have a steady income for a while, minimised his socialising...and in the end the results are there...

Recently won a Arts competition, followed by securing the scholarship and now a deal in UK...
His brother tells me how he only sleeps like 3 -5 hours a nite and has RSI but still continues to passionately chase his dreams...

One of his works

Made me feel really small when i look at myself...IF only i had that dedication to chase my dreams to serve G with all my energy and more for the propogation of Nama.

Praying to G to give me that dedication in life, that passion in life to love what i do and to give it my all.

Radhe Radhe

Haven't been blogging lately. Recapping the week that has been.

Monday and Tuesday, went down to Liverpool Hospital for prayer for Babu Ram's Mum who at the age of 80 something was living her last days (as per the doctors advice). She did pass away on Thursday. GOD will be doing Nama Sankirtan and Bhagvata Gita recital and discourse there next week.

Friday and Sat : Had 2 days of ram Katha at bhakta Vimals house in Quakers Hill. Tonight is the 3rd and last day. Its been a nice 2 days. Distributed the GOD Cd's yesterday. Spoke abt the meeting of Shri Ram and Hanuman at Pampapur.

According to Goswami Tulasidasji, Sugriva represents the JIva Tattva and Bali Karma personified. When Karma is favourable towards Jiva...the jiva is enjoying and is spoilt. However when the Karma turns unfavourable, it chases the jiva everywhere...whereever it goes. however there is one place that one's Karma cannot follow the Jiva and that is Rishmuka Parvat..(satsangh Personified).

With the Help of Anjaneya, Sant/Sadguru personified, the Jiva is united with the LORD. It is the Mahaan who puts forward the case of the Jiva to the LORD and beggs the lord to accept the Jiva (sugriva). And the LORD Obliges.

Sugriva, despite being a coward, opportunist, lusty, enagaged in sense gratification and the like had two great qualities which were crucial for his union with the lord.

1. He knew his follies and weaknesses. And was ever ready to accept them.
2. He never left the association of a Sant in the form of Anjaneya.

...tonight, we shall be discussing the pasttime of an amazing devotee who is able to dictate terms to the LORD....Kevata. And from the whole of RamcharitManas he was the only one to get the LORD to fully openly laugh in the manner that HE did.

All Glories to Shri Guru

Praying that the Guru bestows his Kripa on the family of Shri Vimalji.
